Source standards

Primary sources before commentary.

Policy claims are grounded in government and airline materials. Random blogs, forums, social posts, and AI-generated summaries are not treated as authority.

01

U.S. Department of Transportation

Primary source for applicable U.S. regulatory guidance and official consumer information.

02

Official airline policy page

The airline’s published schedule-change or disruption policy when available.

03

Official Contract of Carriage

The airline’s official contract terms, checked separately from help-page summaries.

04

Official airline support page

Official help content used for process context when appropriate.

Official sources used by published guides

Each card identifies the official publisher and the date the source was checked. A source check does not make an unrelated airline-policy claim publishable.

Current publication status: one generic guide is source-backed and published. No airline-specific threshold, fee, phone number, rebooking outcome, or compensation claim is published. All eight airline guides remain in verification.
